After a knockout World Premiere at the Whistler Film Fest in December, our unromantic musical comedy feature about extinction, LOVE IN THE SIXTH is having its U.S. Premiere on APRIL 17th @ 3:45 PM at the rocking CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL MOVIES AND MUSIC FESTIVAL known as CIMMfest! As I type this, a convoy of Canucks ramps up to road trip-it for a week of CIMMfesting topped off by a LOVE IN THE SIXTH screening at Chicago’s iconic LOGAN THEATRE.
Hello Gorgeous! Picture this cinema (sans snow) with LOVE IN THE SIXTH @ CIMMFEST on the marquee.
LOOK DOWN, see those ladies waving? Yes, waving! At least three of them will be in a big-arse convertible blasting the LITS soundtrack, singing along, and pillow-fighting all the way to Chicago. Well, actually, the dudes will be doing the pillow-fighting in the hard top… when they’re not otherwise engaged in three-part harmonies, or sharing chocolates and intimate stories…
Dani & The Exasperations (Me, Shay Steinberg, Cat Ballou, Collette Savard, Wendy Sinclair) sing “Fucking Love!” (song by me & the awesome Asher Ettinger) *Exasperation Robyn Shepherd missed the FL shoot but will be in Chicago!
Above, LITS co-producers, actors & editors, filmmaking brothers Brett & Jason Butler are already dreaming about Chicago as they prepare for “Up Late Talking” (Song by Collette Savard, produced by Asher Ettinger). PHOTO by our amazing DOP: Robert McGee.
Below, with my saucy back-up singers, The Exasperations, singing “Mancation”–Robyn Shepherd is the sizzling brunette between me & Wendy. Shay is showing a little self love and Collette is rocking that impossible hat. (song by Ettinger/Klassen)
We will keep you posted on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook as we travel to and experience CIMMFEST, and here are a few more tantalizing snaps…

The Butler Brothers keep it Canadian in this weird sex (but no snowshoes) scene with their mutual lover, Mavis (Wendy Sinclair). Called the “strangest threesome ever” by Whistler Film Fest Dir. of Programming, Paul Gratton. That’s good, right?
With co-star, co-producer & co-songwriter T.C. Folkpunk. Our characters, Sid and Dani duke it out in the unromantic comedy that is LITS. Note: our soundtrack is available on CD and online at iTunes, Bandcamp, and “the rest”.

Mother Duck, Laura Lind designed and built these amazing costumes for my Tar Sands duet, “Dirty Lies” with John Lefebvre. Baby Duck is that multi-talented Wendy Sinclair again, doesn’t she look delighted?
